Lady Bobcats claim road win over Bryan JV

Two weeks ago, the Georgia Northweste­rn Lady Bobcats saw a secondhalf lead slip away in a 54-44 home loss to the Bryan College junior varsity squad.

Last Monday night, the Lady Bobcats refused to let it happen again.

Playing in Dayton, Tenn., Georgia Northweste­rn led 28-22 at halftime and kept its foot on the gas in the second half as they claimed a 60-46 win over the Lady Lions, snapping a twogame losing streak.

Abby Dalton had a team-high 17 points for the Lady Bobcats. The freshman added three rebounds and three steals in the victory. Mia Clark had 13 points to go with three rebounds, three steals and two assists. Jerriale Jackson had 10 points and nine rebounds, while Tori Harvey had eight points and a team-high 12 boards.

Katelyn O’toole had five points and three rebounds. Jerrian Jackson had four points, four rebounds and a pair of steals. Gracen Hobbs had two points and four boards, while Hannah Carr had one rebound to go with her one point.

Judson 54, Georgia Northweste­rn 37

The Lady Bobcats were held to one of their lowest point totals of the season on Friday night as they lost at Judson College in Marion, Ala.

GNTC trailed 30-16 at halftime and never made up the gap as they fell to 7-12 on the season.

Harvey had 14 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. Jerriale Jackson had seven points and eight rebounds and Clark finished with eight points.

Hobbs had four points and two rebounds. Dalton had two points and five boards. O’toole finished the night with two points and three rebounds, while Jerrian Jackson helped out with six rebounds.

The Lady Bobcats will be back in action on Feb. 9 with a 2 p.m. game against Johnson University at the Rossville Athletic Center.
