CHI Memorial’s mobile health coach will provide mammograph­y screenings in Rossville and Lafayette during February. On Wednesday, Feb. 12, the coach will be at the Primary Healthcare Center in Rossville from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Thursday, Feb. 13, it will be at the Lafayette-walker County Library from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All women should have one screening mammogram between the ages of 35-40. After age 40, a screening mammogram is recommende­d every year. Any woman who meets these age guidelines and has not had a mammogram in the past 12 months may participat­e, with or without insurance. For those with insurance, you must bring your insurance card and a photo ID, such as a driver’s license. Insurance will be filed for you. If you do not have insurance, you may qualify for financial assistance. The Maryellen Locher Breast Center receives grant funds from Avon Breast Cancer Crusade to provide women with education about and access to breast health services. Partnershi­ps with the Georgia Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention Program and the Susan G.

Komen Foundation provide eligible uninsured and underinsur­ed women with breast and cervical screenings. If an abnormalit­y is discovered, the diagnostic workup is covered and a financial plan is provided for any follow-up care. Women need to know their doctor’s first and last name. Thursday, Feb. 13

Joe Appio, voter education coordinato­r for the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, will attend the Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce networking meeting and luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 11:50 a.m. to discuss the state’s new voting equipment. A representa­tive from the state Department of Community Affairs will discuss the upcoming census. The luncheons are at The Colonnade, 264 Catoosa Circle, Ringgold, and registrati­on is $17. Saturday, Feb. 15

Blood Assurance and the Catoosa County Democrats are sponsoring a blood donation and voter registrati­on drive on Saturday, Feb. 15, in Ft. Oglethorpe from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held at the southeast corner of the intersecti­on of U.S. 27 and Battlefiel­d Parkway (the old K-mart lot).

Back Alley Production­s invites you to audition for its upcoming Easter play “I AM,” which will detail the life of Jesus Christ and his impact on the world. Auditions are Saturday, Feb. 15, with two time slots: From 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and later from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Mars Theatre is located at 117 N. Chattanoog­a St. in Lafayette. The play is directed by Kaylee Smith. Rehearsals are tentativel­y scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mars Theatre.
