Corrections

In last week’s edition, LFO baseball player Will Carroll was incorrectly identified in a story. The Sports Department apologizes for the error.

The Sports Department also acknowledges an oversight in a story on Lafayette’s boys’ basketball team. The 1980 Rambler team was actually the first in school history to advance to the state semifinals. Lafayette lost just one game in the regular season and got into the then 16-team tournament. They defeated Cass (45-43) and Smith (69-63) before falling to Waynesboro (81-73) in the state semifinals, which were played at Georgia Tech. (Source: The Georgia Basketball Project, ghsbp.com).
