God is fixing the world

-

DEAR EDITOR:

I am an accountant and tax consultant. I work from home and have had the opportunity to watch on various news outlets the killing of George Floyd at the hands of four Minneapolis police officers. This was very troubling! There are many things that I could write about, but this subject was pressing on me.

After seeing the video several times and watching all of the protests that most all of us have seen by now, I asked God to lead, guide and mentor me and instruct me as to what to do and how to do it and deal with what I am seeing and how I can help. God put on my spirit and soul to simply write a letter to the various local and national papers.

This is a tough period right now for many people, but let us all remember that God is in charge and will take care of it all in due time and in his own way. However, we must keep fighting and standing up for what we truly believe in.

We must continue to protest the killing of George Floyd and do it with dignity and strength and in order so that our message is not lost. We must remember that if we do it orderly, then our voice will be heard loudly! If not, our voice gets lost in the rioting, looting and so forth. But, protest peacefully! Be sure to wear your COVID-19 mask, sanitize and maintain social distancing as best you can throughout your protests and endeavors. And God will take care of the rest!

Remember to vote on Nov. 3, 2020.

This is our biggest tool that God wanted me to remind you of. Please go vote so that you can remove those in office who need to be removed. Be sure vote locally as well which is very important and of course state and nationally.

I plead to all mayors of every city in the United States to gather your staff and council and spend some time reviewing your policing policies and then make the necessary changes to eliminate police brutality and excessive force.

Stand up for what you believe in, but always do it with dignity, class, order and strength and be persistent and know when to be silent and when to listen and watch. God will do the rest!

God does not make mistakes, and George Floyd’s death occurred for reasons that only God knows. However, his life ended so that many other changes can and will be made, and we are seeing those changes right before our eyes. The biggest change may occur on Nov. 3, 2020 when we all vote!

Keep your faith. Do your works. Perform your actions. Be diligent. Be kind. Show love. Stay strong, and keep up the fight for your rights!

God has the last say and will deliver us out of all of this that we all are going through just as he did when he delivered the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt to safer ground. God will fix it!

God wants us to love him with all of our being, and then love thy neighbor as ourselves. And from seeing people of all walks of like participating in the George Floyd protests, we as neighbors are coming together and loving each other for a great cause. God will fix it!
