Billy’s legacy lives on through everyone who loved him and the life he led as a humble and faithful servant, kind, generous, always puta hardworkin­g man of quiet strength, with a deep love for his family and friends. with his wife and best friend, Regina Askew, and is predecease­d by his beloved son Charles “Chuck” Askew and grandson Charles “Joey” Askew, Jr. Loved ones that will miss Billy and Pop Pop until they meet again are his sons and daughters-inlove William (Mark) Askew III (Jane); Rena Askew; David Askew (Melinda); Sister-in-love Charlyne White; grandchild­ren Haley (Chris) Green, William (Katherine) Askew IV, Lloyd (Kirby) Askew, Emily (James) Miller, Jessica (Kody) Stewart, Lindsay Wiles, and Pender Askew; great grandchild­ren Kelsey Askew, Charlee-jo Miller, Laura James Askew, Miles Green, Lyle Miller, and many friends and extended family too numerous to list but not forgotten.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 7, 2020 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Chickamaug­a City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday and from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Monday. Arrangemen­ts by Wilson Funeral Home-j. Avery Bryan Chapel, Chickamaug­a.

Stephanie Lorene Songer Cooper, age 51, of Lafayette passed away Friday, November 27, 2020.

Stephanie loved to spend time with family, her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed swimming and was always laughing and smiling with such joy. Stephanie dedicated her life to the Lord and she had a passion for singing in church and enjoyed gathering with family for bible study. She had such a beautiful soul and will be missed by everyone that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Rachel Songer; and brother, Tony Ballenger.

Stephanie is survived by her mother, Wanda Parm; father, James Songer; daughter, Megan (Chris) Ramirez; son, Corey Osburne; grandchild­ren, Avaci Ramirez, Lexie Ramirez, Megan Mowrey, Devan Russell, Hunter Wyatt, and Kaisyn Osburne; sister, Renee Bowers Williams; several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins also survive.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, November 30th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 1st from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with - ing.
