The 2020 Catoosa-walker County Football Dream Team First Team

First Team Offense

QB — Mason Parker (Jr., Ringgold) Threw for 1,186 yards and nine TD throws and rushed for 501 yards and four scores after taking over as the starter in the second game of the season.

QB — Jaylon Ramsey (Jr., Lafayette) Ran for 1,198 yards and 14 TD’S and passed for 853 yards and 10 more scores to help Lafayette end a 27-year playoff drought.

RB — Jacob Brown (Sr., LFO) — Missed the first three games with an injury, but racked up 1,102 yards (over 157 per game) and 11 TD’S in just seven games with multiple 200-yard efforts.

RB — Jamario Clements (Sr., LaFayette) Another big year for the speedy powerback included 992 rushing yards, 17 rushing TD’S and two more scores as a receiver.

RB — Kori Dumas (Jr., Ringgold) Fully healthy after nagging injuries hampered his sophomore season, he broke out with 1,401 all-purpose yards — 916 on the ground — and 24 total TD’S.

WR — Logan Lowe (Sr., Heritage) Capped a solid career by leading the Generals in receiving with 30 catches for 457 yards and four scores, while also making one intercepti­on on defense.

WR — Jacob Neal (Sr., Gordon Lee) Compliment­ed the Trojans’ powerful rushing attack by catching 21 passes for 535 yards and four TD’S and adding two picks on defense.

TE — Will Carswell (Sr., Gordon Lee) Despite seeing limited action, made first team All-region for his blocking and his gaudy 30.7 yards per catch average.

OL — Michael Akins (Sr., Gordon Lee) First team All-region honors were presented to the senior, who helped pave the way for Cade Peterson’s record-setting season on the ground.

OL — Dylan Burnett (Sr., Gordon Lee) Was part of a line that helped the Trojans collect over 4,100 yards rushing, over 800 yards passing and 63 offensive touchdowns, 58 via the run.

OL — Scott Clinton (Sr., Ringgold) The most experience­d returning Tiger lineman provided leadership and had the highest grade on the line, to offer protection for a balanced offense.

OL — Tommy Lamb (Sr., Ridgeland) Finished the year with the highest grade of all the Panther linemen at 96 percent, while collecting 10 pancake blocks.

OL — Coy Pendergras­s (Jr., Lafayette) Earned first team All-region honors after being part of a line that racked up nearly 2,800 yards on the ground and 35 rushing TD’S.

OL — Dylan Skates (Sr., Ridgeland) Anchored the Panthers’ trench from the center position and had eight pancake blocks with a 94 percent grade for the year.

K — Anderson Britton (Jr., Heritage) One of the strongest legs in all of northwest Georgia and the state went 25 of 25 on PATS and added a pair of field goals with a long of 52 yards.

P — Alec Gentry (Sr., LFO) Finished the year with a 37.6-yard average on 20 punts with four inside the 20, while also going 3 of 3 on field goals with a long of 40 yards.

First Team Defense

DL — Gabe Kirkendoll (Sr., Gordon Lee) Stepped up to become even more of a team leader on defense with 42 tackles, 26 solo, including three sacks for a 10-win Trojan team.

DL — Brandon Orman (Jr., Ringgold) Achieved first team All-region status for the improved Tigers with 66 tackles, nine going for a loss, including three sacks.

DL — Jeremiah Turner (Sr., Ridgeland) Continued to be a nightmare for opposing offenses with 45 tackles, including six for loss, with one big intercepti­on and 446 yards and five TD’S rushing.

DL — Hayden Walker (Sr., Gordon Lee) A breakout final season included 46 tackles, 28 of the solo variety, with two tackles for loss, a blocked field goal and a Gl-best seven sacks.

DL — Jonathan Washburn (Sr., Heritage) The long snapper extraordin­aire was also a disruptor with 32 solo tackles, 14 for loss, seven sacks, two fumble recoveries and a blocked field goal.

LB — Hayden Black (Sr., Heritage) Burst onto the scene in a big way in his Heritage swan song with 73 tackles, 52 solo and seven for loss, while adding three sacks and two forced fumbles.

LB — Cole Carlock (Jr., Ringgold) Was a very pleasant surprise for the Blueand-white in 2020 with 107 tackles, five going for a loss, and was third in the region in tackles per game.

LB — Brody Cobb (Sr., Gordon Lee) Enjoyed a fantastic final season as a twoway player with 79 tackles, 50 solo, four for loss and a sack, along with 525 yards rushing and six scores.

LB — Hunter Deal (Sr., Lafayette) One of several rock-solid linebacker­s for the Ramblers, the senior posted 60 stops, 39 solo, and added a sack, a fumble recovery and one INT.

LB — Jordan Garnica (Sr., Ringgold) Finished the season in the top 10 of all of 6-AAA in tackles per game, ending the season with 106 total stops, nine for loss, with two intercepti­ons.

LB — Bryce Travillian (So., Heritage) A huge season featured 56 tackles, 35 solo, and nine tackles for loss to go with three sacks and one intercepti­on.

DB — Penn Askew (Jr., Gordon Lee) A huge year saw the junior lead the Trojans in tackles with 95, 55 coming as solo stops, to go with one sack and a pair of fumble recoveries.

DB — Brent Minor (Sr., Lafayette) The senior was all over the field for the resurgent Ramblers with 73 tackles, 40 solo, to go with a sack, two tackles for loss, a pick and two forced fumbles.

DB — Kaden Swope (So., Heritage) Even missing the final three games with an injury, he was still a force with 46 tackles, 39 solo, six TFL’S, four picks and two fumble recoveries, plus two TD’S on offense.

DB — Kyle White (Jr., Ringgold) Playing almost exclusivel­y on defense, showed his skills with two INT’S, eight pass break-ups and a 6-Aaa-leading 142 tackles, including 22 versus Lafayette.

DB — Jevonnie Womble (Sr., LFO) Helped the Warriors on both sides of the ball with 337 yards rushing and 42 total tackles and one pick to earn first team All-region honors on defense.
