Mocs announce plans for remaining home football games

-

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team will have a capacity limit of 5,000 fans at Finley Stadium for its last two home games of the 2021 spring season. Tickets are on sale now at Gomocs. com and start as low as $5 for youth.

All tickets are general admission and are $10 for ages 13 and up. To encourage social distancing, both sides of the field are open seating.

The two remaining home games are Saturday, March 27, against Mercer and Saturday, April 10, against

Samford. The Mercer game kicks off at 12 noon, while the Samford contest begins at 2 p.m. (all time Eastern).

“We are excited to have roughly 25 percent capacity at Finley Stadium for the two remaining games on our spring schedule,” stated UTC Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Mark Wharton. “Masks and social distancing between groups are required, but we expect to see a lively crowd at both games.”

To order 2021 spring tickets, visit Gomocs.com or call the UTC Ticket Office at (423) 266-MOCS (6627) during normal business hours.

Expanded alcohol sales

After a successful first season of alcohol sales during basketball season at Mckenzie Arena, the Mocs will continue the opportunity for all fans to purchase alcohol throughout Finley Stadium this spring.

“We had a very positive reaction to alcohol sales at our basketball games this season,” added Wharton. “We are happy to announce that we are opening that opportunity up to all adults of drinking age for our football games in Finley Stadium. We encourage all who take advantage of this opportunity to please do so responsibly, before, during and after the game.”

Tailgating

As part of the Mocs’ COVID-19 plan, tailgating is not allowed as long as there is a county mask mandate in place. The current mandate runs through March 31, so tailgating is not allowed for the March 27 game against Mercer.
