Hamilton Health Care System will host a Coffee and Donuts Hiring Event on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Dalton Convention Center, 2211 Tony Ingle Parkway. Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church at 600 Mohawk Street in Rossville will have a “Rally for Revival” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3. Pastor/evangelist Lou Rossi will be preaching. Pastor George Pinion and the members extend a cordial invitation to the public to attend.

The Walker County Historical Society will meet on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 3 p.m. in a joint meeting with the Noble Neighborho­od Associatio­n. Kenny White will share stories from “When Noble was a Village: The general stores, the churches, the barbershop, the filling stations, the restaurant­s, the farms and dairies and cemeteries.” The meeting will be at Center Point Church Fellowship Hall. The Pie in the Face event will be on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 5:30 p.m. at the library. The public is encouraged to attend. The winner of the Pie in the Face fundraiser will get a pie in his/her face at the event. The event will also be available to watch on the Friends of the Library’s Facebook page. All the money raised will go to fund programs and services at the library.
