STULTZ, Annelle Robinson
Annelle Robinson Stultz passed away quietly surrounded by loved ones in peace and comfort, early afternoon, Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Stultz, Sr., owner and operator of Suburban Furniture Company, her mother, Laura E. Robinson, numerous loving relatives from the Scoggins and Robinson families, and Havard Hans, her friend and companion in later years.
A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Georgia, not only was she an adoring and loving mother to sons, Don Jr., (Maggie), William Reece “Will” and Robert Alan (Rachel); but also a generous, caring and inspirational friend to many, including her special “family” of caregivers throughout the past Bowers, Sherry Cooper, Brittany Goodman, Lisa Hicks, Janet Hobbs, Judy Jenkins (Deceased), Kirstin Johnson (LPN), Billie Jones, Patricia (Trish) Nation, and Angie Ridley.
Early on, excelling in math, skills, she attended and graduated Mckenzie Business College in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She wasted no time in putting her skills to work as a Personal Assistant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, for what we now know as “The Manhattan Project”, aiding our Country and our Allies in securing Victory for WWII. She then accepted a position with Clemons Brothers Furniture Co., in downtown Chattanooga before using her talent and skill in the medical profession.
She joined Lafayette Medical Center (formerly Kitchens Clinic and Hospital) in 1962 and quickly became immersed in all aspects of Healthcare Management. After almost 30 years, she retired in 1990 as Medical Center Administrator. Still active, she then enjoyed a position at Pruitthealth’s p
Shepherd Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation facility as Activities Director for a number of years.
In 1998, she and son (Dr.) Robert Stultz opened Rossville Medical Center, where she spearheaded the administration and oversight of business. As importwarm smile and kind words of Welcome and Thanks at the reception desk.
A lifelong animal lover, she opened her heart and home to many; whether a dog, cat, deer or even a “pet” wild turkey.
She was the most Senior member of Gordon Pond Fishing Club and loved spending time on the water; casting a rod whether at “the lake”, in a boat or sitting on a pier. Ironically, she had always been fashion savvy and very particular about her appearance. She thoroughly enjoyed afternoons at “The Beauty Shop” with good friends, good stories and good times.
A lover of travel, she was always ready for the next Beach Vacation, especially with her “Boys”. In particular she enjoyed the Hawaiian Islands. She visited the Islands a total of 13 husband, Don in 1972. Her Southern Charm and warm smile soon earned her a special place in the hearts of many Polynesians. So much her Anelá, which means Angel. Our Anelá (Nelle, Mom, “Miss” Nelle) will be missed and mourned, but her memory and the love she shared will be cherished and celebrated for many, many years to come.

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.”
