QB — Ross Norman (Ringgold)

After taking over the position due to an injury in the second game, the senior went on to make the All-region second team with 1,302 yards passing and 12 touchdowns, along with 258 yards rushing and seven more scores.

RB — Paxton Mccrary (Heritage)

The senior was selected to the All-region second team in 7-4A after rushing 129 times for 736 yards and 11 touchdowns, including three 100-yard games, to help the Generals win eight times and advance to the playoffs.

RB — Holt Roberts (Gordon Lee) A modern day Mike Alstott, the senior showed some speed and a whole lot of power with 716 yards on 132 carries and four touchdowns to pick up second team All-region honors in the Trojans’ first year in 6-3A.

RB — Peyton Williams (Ringgold)

Inheriting the mantle as the Tigers’ number one option out of the backfield, the senior showed his considerab­le talent by rushing for 1,116 yards and 14 scores on 119 carries to pick up first team All-region honors.

WR — Darrian Burks (Ridgeland)

The senior enjoyed another solid season in the Panthers’ passing game and made the All-region second team with 24 catches for 413 yards and six TDS. He also racked up 345 kick return yards, two picks and one blocked field goal.

WR — Tyler Cheatwood (Heritage)

The senior racked up 610 yards and eight touchdowns on just 19 catches for a ridiculous 32.1-yard average, but was first team All-region as an athlete after adding over 200 yards in returns and four picks, including one for a 109-yard TD.

WR — Ty Gilbert (Ringgold)

The senior had a nose for the football on both sides of the line of scrimmage. He made first team All-region as a receiver with 484 yards and nine scores on 31 catches, while also picking off four passes for the Tiger defense.

TE — Payton Newman (Heritage)

The senior gave opponents another big body to worry about on the offensive line, but showed the hands and speed of a receiver as he caught 11 passes for 270 yards and three scores to make first team All-region at tight end.

OL — Clint Carlock (Ringgold)

The Tigers’ balanced offensive attack was anchored by the senior, who continued the program’s tradition of top-notch linemen. He finished the year by being voted by the coaches to the AllRegion first team in Region 6-3A.

OL — Brodie Genter (Gordon Lee) The Trojans’ only first team All-region offensive lineman helped pave the way for Gordon Lee’s run-heavy offense. The senior also stood out on the defensive line and helped on special teams with 18 punts for a 37.7-yard average.

OL — Myles Hudson (Ringgold) The Tigers posted 2,200 yards rushing and over 1,300 yards through the air this past season, thanks in part to the protection of the senior, who earned a second team All-region selection from the coaches in Region 6-3A.

OL — Rhett Mcdonald (Heritage)

A track standout in throwing events during the spring, the junior threw around his share of defenders this past fall as well, earning an All-region second team selection for the Generals and their high-scoring offense.

OL — Carter Wilson (LFO)

The Warriors’ big man was a major contributo­r and a senior leader on both sides of the line of scrimmage, but went on to earn first team All-region honors in 6-3A as an offensive lineman as he ended the year with 34 pancake blocks.

ATH — Chase Watkins (Ridgeland) The senior was an offensive standout for the Panthers, recording 841 yards and five scores through the air, and 210 yards and five TDS on the ground, while also making honorable mention in 7-4A as a linebacker.

ATH — Robert Henson (Gordon Lee)

In addition to 39 tackles, a pick and six pass break-ups on defense, the senior honorable mention All-region selection had 242 yards rushing, 186 yards receiving, 150 yards in returns and five total TDS.

ST — Jacob Brown (Lafayette) The senior followed up last year’s all-star season by going 20 for 20 on extra points and 9 of 13 on field goal attempts with a season-long of 53 yards. He also had 41 kickoffs and put eight into the end zone for touchbacks.

ST — Chipper Grayson (Heritage) The senior made the most of his final season by making the All-region first team as a kicker and second team as a punter. He was 27 of 28 on PATS and 4 of 5 on field goals, while punting 23 times for a 38.4-yard average.
