Last young escapee from Tennessee prison recaptured
A boat carrying actor George Clooney and his wife, British lawyer Amal Alamuddin, is followed by a flotilla of photographers and security guards as they cruise on the Grand Canal in Venice. The couple were married on Saturday and spent the night at the Aman Canal Grande Venice Resort. Lions softball team died at the scene; a fourth player died in a hospital, authorities said.
Fifteen student-athletes were on the bus, which was driven by their coach as they returned home from a game.
The last of 13 boys who escaped Friday night from a troubled Tennessee youth prison was caught yesterday by a police officer on routine patrol, police said.
The 16-year-old boy told police he had been hiding in woods since escaping through the front gate of the Woodland Hills Youth Development Center in Nashville, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said.
The 12 other boys were recaptured within several hours after they overpowered a guard and took his keys and radio, said the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, which operates the facility.
One of the boys managed to get inside a guard shack at the gate while the guard conducted a check of the fence surrounding the facility. He activated the gate to let the other boys out, said agency spokesman Rob Johnson.
It was the second mass escape this month at the facility.
