Credit Union to hold teen finance workshop

HILLIARD —The Credit Union of Ohio will hold a financial workshop for teenagers from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 2 at its Hilliard branch office, 5500 Britton Parkway.

The workshop will cover topics meant to help teenagers become financiall­y successful, including how to manage a checking account, create a budget and protect their identity.

The curriculum is composed of core courses in economics supplement­ed with electives in fields such as public policy, environmen­t and natural resources.

The deadline to apply for the 2017-2018 academic year is April 30.

Both locations were bought in September by American Signature, Columbus-based parent of Value City Furniture, after Kittle’s announced plans to leave the Columbus market.

The new stores are part of a recent expansion by Value City Furniture, which also opened a new store in the Polaris area last month.
