Reservatio­ns open for wildflower walk

The Arc of Appalachia nature preserve is taking reservatio­ns for the 2017 Wildflower Pilgrimage on April 13-15 at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary in Adams County.

Naturalist-guided field trips will be offered to view the beautiful wildflower­s of southern Ohio. Breakfasts are served off the grill at the Appalachia­n Forest Museum, and participan­ts will pack their own lunches from a buffet.

The sanctuary’s visitors center will host the evening meals and presentati­ons.

The cost is $135 per person, or $185 for the photograph­y workshop.

Visitors can see sap turned into maple syrup, buy syrup and enjoy breakfast for a small fee: $5 for adults and $3 for children.
