Unless otherwise noted, the symphony concerts will be conducted by Rossen Milanov.
■ Sept. 22-23: “Alpine Symphony,” including Respighi’s “Pines of Rome” and Richard Strauss’ “Alpine Symphony,” accompanied by Stephen Pariser photographs, Ohio Theatre, 39 E. State St.
■ Oct. 20-21: “Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony” as well as “Lo” by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw, Southern Theatre, 21 E. Main St.
■ Nov. 3-4: “Spanish Flamenco Festival” with music by Manuel de Falla and Joaquin Rodrigo, among others, and guest artists Jason Vieaux, guitar; and Griset Damas, flamenco dancer, Ohio Theatre
■ Jan. 19-20: “Russian Winter Festival I” including Rachmaninoff’s “Piano Concerto No. 2” featuring Natasha Paremski, Ohio Theatre ■ Feb. 2 and 4: “Aida” in Concert, with Opera Columbus soloists and the Columbus Symphony Chorus, Ohio Theatre
■ Feb. 9-10: “Russian Winter Festival II,” including Shostakovich’s “Violin Concerto No. 1,” featuring guest artist Augustin Hadelich, Ohio Theatre
■ Feb. 23-24: “Beethoven Marathon” concertos performed by Israeli pianist Inon Barnatan, conducted by Courtney Lewis, Southern Theatre, 21 E. Main St. ■ March 2-3: “Mozart to Brahms via Paris,” conducted by JoAnn Fallett and including Mozart’s “Violin Concerto No. 3” performed by Alexi Kenney; and impressionistic music by Lili Boulanger, Ohio Theatre ■ March 16-17: “Mendelssohn’s Scottish,” “Copland & Beethoven,” with Jayce Ogren conducting the program, including Copland’s “Clarinet Concerto” featuring Columbus Symphony Principal Clarinetist David Thomas, Ohio Theatre
■ March 23-24: “Brahms Requiem,” with soprano Abigail Rethwisch, baritone Jarrett Ott and the Columbus Symphony Chorus, Ohio Theatre
■ April 6-7: “Symphonie Fantastique” including the Berlioz work as well as Sibelius’ “Violin Concerto” with guest artists Jennifer Koh and Andreia PintoCorreia’s “Cipres,” Ohio Theatre
■ April 13-14: “Impressionistic Scenes” including Mozart’s “Piano Concerto No. 23” with guest artist Simone Dinnerstein, and a new commissioned work by American composer Saad Haddad, Ohio Theatre Additional concert, not included in the “Masterworks” series:
■ May 10: Violinist Joshua Bell performing Max Bruch’s “Violin Concerto No. 1.” The concert, conducted by Milanov, includes Margaret Brouwer’s “Pulse,” Ohio Theatre
