Lowe’s plans hiring event on Tuesday

COLUMBUS — Fourteen Lowe’s stores in central Ohio will hold seasonal hiring events from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the stores. The company expects to hire more than 100 for positions that include cashier, loader and customer-service workers in the lumber and lawn and garden department­s.

The company said these seasonal positions often turn into ongoing jobs. In 2016, nearly half of such employees continued on as part-time and full-time workers.
