Lowe’s plans hiring event on Tuesday

COLUMBUS — Fourteen Lowe’s stores in central Ohio will hold seasonal hiring events from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the stores. The company expects to hire more than 100 for positions that include cashier, loader and customer-service workers in the lumber and lawn and garden departments.

The company said these seasonal positions often turn into ongoing jobs. In 2016, nearly half of such employees continued on as part-time and full-time workers.
