NetJets re-ups with PGA Tour

COLUMBUS — NetJets has extended its contract as the official private-jet provider of the PGA Tour.

The agreement, originally signed in 2014, now extends through 2022. It calls for NetJets to provide flights, marketing support and charitable contributi­ons to the tour, its tournament­s and its players.

Columbus-based NetJets, the world’s largest private-jet operator, is owned by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway. Fintech71 board and provide funding and consultati­on to help establish a mentorship program for early-stage companies.

The Fintech71 business accelerato­r is a nonprofit industry initiative of leading financial and non-financial companies. It is supported by JobsOhio, the state’s private, nonprofit economic-developmen­t organizati­on, as part of JobsOhio’s mission to attract jobs and investment to the state.

Fintech71 aims to build a platform for ongoing financialt­echnology innovation, attract and grow talent, and establish a Midwestern financial-technology hub to accelerate economic growth. The mentorship program is a 10-week event that includes workshops hosted by mentors, education sessions and guidance on solution design and delivery.

“Ohio’s financial-services sector is the sixth-largest financial-services sector in the country and second-largest private sector in Ohio,” said Valentina Isakina, managing director for financial services at JobsOhio, in a statement. “But we have been flying under the radar. ... Fintech71 created a collaborat­ion platform to leverage our talent, ecosystem, and cost advantage to put Ohio prominentl­y on the innovation map.” Robert H. Schottenst­ein to its board of directors.

Bellinger is an adjunct lecturer and research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School and is an expert on diversity, inclusion and leadership developmen­t.

Schottenst­ein is chairman and CEO of M/I Homes, which was founded in Columbus and is one of the nation’s largest homebuilde­rs.

L Brands also announced the retirement of Jeffrey H. Miro from the board. Miro, who had served on the board since 2006, is a partner at the law firm Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn.
