3 of 4 suspects in double murder arrested, charged

Columbus police have arrested three men in connection with an earlymorning shooting that killed two on July 19 at a West Side apartment building.

Joshua B. Radabaugh and Aden Abdikadir Hassan, both 31 and of the West Side, have been charged with murder after the shooting death of two men at the Wedgewood Village apartment complex.

A third man, Julius L. Anderson, 22, with no known address, also has been arrested and charged with aggravated murder. A fourth suspect, Desmond L. Webster, 36, of the Southeast Side, has not yet been arrested.

Officers were in the area of the 800 block of Wedgewood Drive near Briggs Road at 1:48 a.m. when they heard gunshots, according to court documents. Police found the two victims inside a unit at the complex.

Abdul Cadir Ali Yussef, 19, was pronounced dead at 2:10 a.m. by medics at the scene. Mohamed Ali Mohamed, 26, died from his injuries at 12:03 p.m. after being transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital in critical condition. A third victim, 27-year-old Ashley Tucker, was wounded after bullets from the shooting in the second-floor apartment unit went through the floor into her first-floor unit. She was taken to Mount Carmel West Hospital in stable condition.

The shootings ended a home invasion that had lasted nearly 10 hours. During the incident, the victims were bound with duct tape. Hassan allegedly accompanied Anderson and Webster in search of drugs that had been stolen from one of the suspects, according to court documents.

A white Toyota Prius owned by one of the shooting victims was used to flee the scene, police said. It was found about 3 miles from the apartment, torched and abandoned in the 1600 block of Rosemont Avenue. The two deaths mark a total of six homicides at the apartment complex this year.

The three men arrested were identified as suspects by witnesses, according to court documents.
