Peardon powers Liberty Union’s rally past Amanda

Cole Peardon amassed 216 total yards and four touchdowns, including a game-winning 56-yard touchdown reception, as Liberty Union rallied to defeat host AmandaClea­rcreek 35- 31 in a nonconfere­nce game on Friday.

Peardon tallied five receptions for 133 yards, along with 83 yards and three touchdowns rushing.

With the Lions trailing 28-7, Peardon sparked the comeback with a touchdown before halftime, and a short TD run to cut the deficit to seven points.

After a Zach Meadows field goal, Peardon scored twice in the fourth quarter, on a 1- yard run and the game-winning catch with 4: 30 remaining.

Chaise Wohrer led the Lions ( 2- 1) with 128 yards rushing and a score, and Caleb Shook completed 14 of 18 passes for 248 yards.

Schuyler Boyer had 113 receiving yards for Amanda ( 2- 1).

Drysten Crallie rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries — including a 77-yard scoring run in the second quarter — and host Hamilton Township (2-1) turned back Bexley (0-3). Crallie also caught a 29-yard touchdown toss from Eric Bonte, who finished with 103 yards through the air. Lions quarterbac­k Anthony Welsh threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns.

Griffi n Cheadle had 137 yards rushing, Jamie Haynes added 124 and Logan Elm (1-2) ran past host Miami Trace. Cheadle put Logan Elm up for good, 10-7, with a 5-yard TD run in the second quarter. Haynes scored on a 26-yard reception in the third quarter for a 17- 6 lead.

KJ Price ran for 433 yards on 27 carries and five touchdowns, and visiting London (3-0) outlasted Washington Court House (2-1). Price had three first-half touchdowns on runs of 50, 20 and 74 yards. He added a 3-yarder and another from 32 yards in the second half.

Zach Shinn passed for 153 yards and two touchdowns, and Tyler Wolfe rushed for 118 yards and a pair of scores to help host Fairfield Union (2-1) outlast Vinton County (1-2).

Garrett Miller ran for 139 yards and three touchdowns, and Carson Smith added 138 yards and two scores to lead North Union (2-1) over host Grandview (2-1).

Trent Davies carried the ball 43 times for 185 yards and two touchdowns, and host Buckeye Valley (2-1) stopped Mount Vernon (1-2). The Barons trailed 9-3 at halftime, but Davies scored on runs of 1 yard and 5 yards in the second half to complete the rally.

Clear Fork (3-0) jumped out to a 14-0 lead and allowed just 7 yards rushing in a win over visiting Jonathan Alder (2-1). Preston Eisnaugle passed for 314 yards and a score for the Pioneers, who never led.

Lance Lambert completed 9 of 10 passes for 198 yards and four touchdowns, and host West Jefferson (3-0) piled up 409 yards in beating Springfi eld Greenon (0-3). Gabe Jones added 86 yards rushing and a score for the Roughrider­s, and Wyatt Dillion scored two touchdowns.

Clay Davis threw for 240 yards and four touchdowns, and Robert Dickelman caught seven passes for 128 yards and three scores to pace Athens (2-1) over host Watkins Memorial (1-2).

Trent Salyers threw three touchdown passes, all to Tanner Holden, and ran for another in leading Wheelersbu­rg (3-0) past host Heath ( 0- 3).
