Indians win, then clinch AL Central once again
CLEVELAND — The streak is over, but that doesn't mean the winning has to stop.
The Indians, less than 24 hours after their American League record 22-game winning streak ended, rebounded Saturday afternoon to beat the Kansas City Royals 8-4 at Progressive Field. The victory, combined with Minnesota's loss Saturday night to Toronto at Target Field, allowed the Indians to clinch their second straight AL Central Division championship.
