Ohio’s jobless rate at nearly 3-year high
Ohio’s jobless rate climbed to 5.4 percent in August, its highest since September 2014, according to state data. It’s a full percentage point higher than the national rate and is half a point higher in just three months.
The number of jobless workers increased by 11,000 in the month to 311,000 as 17,000 left the labor force last month.
