For the third time in four days, Ohio State has landed a commitment for its class of 2018.

In an announcement posted to his Twitter page, fourstar guard prospect Luther Muhammad from Hudson Catholic in Jersey City, New Jersey, committed to the Buckeyes. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Muhammad is rated as the nation’s No. 71 overall prospect by 247Sports and the No. 14 shooting guard.

On Aug. 4, Muhammad released a list of his top five schools: Xavier, Ohio State, St. John’s, Virginia and West Virginia. He has taken four official visits: St. John’s (June 23), Virginia (Aug. 19), Ohio State (Sept. 8) and Xavier (Sept. 15). He was set to visit West Virginia this weekend.

On Tuesday, Ohio State landed a commitment from four-star power forward Jaedon LeDee from The Kinkaid School in Houston. That was followed Wednesday by a commitment from four-star guard Duane Washington from Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth, California.

Although he’s listed as a shooting guard, Muhammad can also play off the ball and could fit into a future lineup alongside Washington. As a junior, Muhammad averaged 15.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

The Buckeyes could take as many as six players in this class but are more likely to stop at five. They will host Versailles small forward Justin Ahrens for an official visit this weekend.
