Etna should retain Carlisle, Foor

-

I urge the voters of Etna Township in Licking County to support the incumbent trustees and re-elect John Carlisle and Randy Foor. As Etna Township trustees, these gentlemen established economic development zones in the township that will provide the future tax base needed for our schools and road maintenance, while protecting the rural areas of Etna and mitigating the necessary tax burden for Etna residents.

Further, through their excellent management, Carlisle and Foor returned money directly to Etna residents through the license-plate refund, the gas and electric utilities aggregation, and the payment by the township of the refuse-collection charges.

In addition to the financial significance of these governmental refunds, the returned funds are important indicators that Carlisle and Foor are listening to the concerns of Etna residents.

They are the only Etna trustees who ever returned tax monies to their constituents, out of consideration for the welfare of the Etna residents.

The challenger to Carlisle and Foor resigned in 2002 from the Southwest Licking School Board, and resigned again in 2008 from the Groveport-Madison School Board, without completing his term of office in either case, which makes him undesirable for further elected office, in my opinion.
