1986 report accuses Stallone of sexual assault
Actor Sylvester Stallone allegedly forced a teenage girl into having sex with him and his bodyguard at a Las Vegas hotel more than three decades ago, according to a police report uncovered Thursday by the New York Daily News.
An unidentified 16- yearold girl filed the report with the Las Vegas Police Department, alleging that Stallone and his bodyguard, Michael de Luca, “intimidated” her into having sex with them at the Hilton Hotel on July 26, 1986. The police report was first obtained by the Daily Mail. The girl eventually decided not to file charges.
Stallone, who was 40 at the time, apparently started having sex with the teen before inviting de Luca to join them, according to the report. The teen became “very uncomfortable” at that point but felt like she had “no choice” but to go on, the report states.
De Luca, who was shot and killed by police in 2013, allegedly coaxed the teen into performing oral sex on him before penetrating her, at which point Stallone made her give him oral sex.
Stallone and DeLuca, both of whom were married at the time, allegedly threatened the teen that they would “beat her head in” if she told anyone.
A spokeswoman for Stallone responded Thursday, saying the allegations against the now-71-yearold actor are “ridiculous” and “categorically false.”
Meanwhile, London’s Old Vic Theatre said Thursday it has received 20 allegations of inappropriate behavior by its former artistic director Kevin Spacey and acknowledged that a “cult of personality” around the Hollywood star had made it difficult for people to come forward.
The London theater launched an investigation into Spacey last month after claims of sexual harassment emerged in the United States. Spacey, 58, led the Old Vic between 2004 and 2015.
The Old Vic said it had received 20 allegations of “a range of inappropriate behavior,” from actions that made people feel uncomfortable to “sexually inappropriate” touching.
All of the alleged victims are young men, none under 18 years old. The reported incidents took place between 1995 and 2013, many of them at the Old Vic, and all but four of the alleged victims are former staff members.
In all but one case, the complainants say they didn’t report the misconduct at the time. One man says he reported an incident to his manager, who didn’t act on the information.
The Old Vic said it had encouraged 14 of the complainants to go to police, but it couldn’t confirm whether any had done so.
The theater said Spacey’s “star power” contributed to an atmosphere in which staff “didn’t feel confident that the Old Vic would take those allegations seriously, given who he was.”
LOS ANGELES — Authorities say the same woman led officers on vehicle chases through Southern California on back-to-back days.
The Orange County Register reported that a day after leading officers from Orange County into the Los Feliz area, the woman led officers on a second chase Wednesday morning. This one went onto freeways and streets before the car became stuck in traffic at an intersection. The woman was pulled from the car.
The Los Angeles Police Department said the officers were trying to stop the driver for possibly being under the influence.
Tuesday, the woman was sought for allegedly violating a restraining order, but the pursuit of her was ended for safety reasons.
