BrewDog distributi­ng its beers in Indiana

CANAL WINCHESTER — Indiana has become the first state outside of Ohio where you can buy BrewDog’s beers.

The Scottish craft brewer, whose U.S. operations are based in Canal Winchester, began distributi­on of its beers in Indiana this week. BrewDog hopes to blanket the entire state with its Punk India pale ale, Hazy Jane IPA and Elvis Juice IPA.

BrewDog’s earliest plans included a national footprint. BrewDog is Europe’s largest craft-beer maker. It opened its brewery here in Canal Winchester early last year. on Tuesday approved President Donald Trump’s selection of Jerome Powell to be the next chairman of the Federal Reserve beginning next month.

Senators voted 85-12 to confirm Powell to lead the nation’s central bank, a post that is considered the most powerful economic position in government.

Powell will succeed Janet Yellen, the first woman to lead the Fed, when her term ends Feb. 3. Trump decided against offering Yellen a second fouryear term as chair despite widespread praise for her performanc­e since succeeding Ben Bernanke. its famously confoundin­g interface. It’s one of the reasons why Instagram has nearly three times as many users.

But in a major shift that could make Snapchat more enticing to new users, the video messaging app announced Tuesday it will allow its public content to be shared across other social media platforms — not just inside its mobile app.

The company, which long eschewed a serious web presence, said users can now share links to their own videos or other videos they see on the app. The links will open on a web player hosted on Snapchat.com.

The hope is that the added exposure will demystify the Snapchat experience and help reverse user growth that has slowed to a pedestrian pace — in no small part because of competitio­n from Facebook and its photo-sharing app Instagram.
