DUBLIN JEROME, ICE HOCKEY Patchett, a senior center, recorded a hat trick to lift the Celtics to a victory over Olentangy Liberty in the Capital Hockey Conference Blue Jackets Cup final. He also scored two goals in a win over Watterson and an assist in a win over Cincinnati Moeller.

Matt McCullom’s layup with under two minutes left gave host Olentangy Orange (13-9, 4-6) an upset victory over OCC Buckeye division leader Westervill­e North (18-4, 8-2). McCullom’s basket gave Orange its first lead since the opening quarter, and the Pioneers converted nine of 10 free throws in the fourth to secure the win.

Adrian Nelson had 27 points and Javohn Garcia 22 as Pickeringt­on Central (13-8, 8-2) rolled past host Gahanna (15-7, 5-5) in the second half for an OCC Ohio victory. Nelson made 13 shots from the field. Chase Rankin had 18 points for the Lions, who trailed just 36-34 at halftime.

Dapreis Owens had 13 points, including eight free throws, and Dublin Scioto (12-10, 4-8) hit five three-pointers in besting visiting Dublin Jerome (12-9, 6-6) in the OCC Cardinal. Lucas House made nine of 12 shots in scoring 21 points, but Jerome went 0-for-7 from beyond the arc. Charlie Mamlin’s three-pointer from 23 feet at the buzzer lifted visiting Thomas Worthingto­n (5-17, 2-10) to an OCC Cardinal victory over Worthingto­n Kilbourne (9-13, 6-6).

Rico Bagley scored 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter to help Whitehall (13-8, 8-2) pull away from visiting Columbus Academy (17-4, 6-4) to finish with a share of the MSL Ohio Division. Tyjuan Childers had 14 points for the Rams, who finished 16 of 17 from the free-throw line. Addis Boyle led the Vikings with 16 points.

Colin Woodside scored a career high 30 points in leading host Fairfield Union (17-4, 12-2) to a win over Liberty Union (6-16, 2-12) and the Mid-State League Buckeye Division title.

Cort Marbaugh’s only basket of the game came off an offensive rebound with 1.6 seconds remaining, lifting Watterson (12-9, 6-2) past host Ready (16-4, 6-2) and creating a three-way tie with Hartley in the Central Catholic League. Jimmy Patton led the Eagles with 14 points. Chanc Dawson led Ready with 21 points, including 12 from the line. Kobe Righter paced DeSales with 13 points and Kayin Derden iced the game with two free throws in overtime, giving the Stallions (10-10, 1-7) a Central Catholic win over visiting St. Charles (5-14, 1-7).

Garrett Tipton, needing 19 points to crack 1,000 for his career, scored 25, his third consecutiv­e game with at least 20 points, and Hartley (15-5) downed visiting Linden (11-10) in a nonleague game.
