JobsOhio staff’s full pay unreported
State law requires JobsOhio to report the “total compensation” of its employees. But the agency continues to report only its staff members’ taxable income, not their total compensation.
Even with the underreporting, 34 workers show at least six-figure salaries.
In its 2017 filings with the state, Gov. John Kasich’s privatized economicdevelopment agency again reported employees’ taxable income — which does not include salary diverted to, for example, nontaxable retirement contributions and health-insurance costs — instead of their gross income.
