DeRozan scores 37, Raptors win Game 2

TORONTO — DeMar DeRozan matched his career playoff-high with 37 points, Jonas Valanciuna­s had 19 points and 14 rebounds and the Toronto Raptors beat the Washington Wizards 130-119 on Tuesday night, taking a 2-0 lead in a playoff series for the first time in franchise history.

Kyle Lowry had 13 points and a career playoff-high 12 assists as Toronto set team playoff records for points in a quarter, a half, and a game.

C.J. Miles scored 18 points, Delon Wright had 11 and Serge Ibaka 10 for the Raptors, who snapped an NBA-worst 10-game losing streak in Game 1s with a 114106 win on Saturday.

The Celtics led by as many as 20 in the fourth quarter. 76ERS, MAVERICKS TO PLAY 2 PRESEASON GAMES IN CHINA: Dirk Nowitzki’s 21st NBA season will include a trip in China. His Dallas Mavericks will play a pair of preseason games against the Philadelph­ia 76ers there, 10 years after Nowitzki played for Germany in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. He will become the first player in NBA history to play 21 seasons with the same franchise. The league announced Tuesday that the Mavericks and 76ers will meet Oct. 5 in Shanghai and then Oct. 8 in Shenzhen. Dallas and Philadelph­ia both will be playing in China for the first time. The games will be the NBA’s 25th and 26th in China, which is passionate about basketball and will host the 2019 Basketball World Cup. G LEAGUE SALARIES GOING UP: G League salaries are going up next season, to $35,000 for most players and up to $385,000 for those on two-way contracts. Salaries also can be enhanced through bonuses and call-ups. NBA teams called up 50 players a total of 60 times last season, generating just over $11 million in additional salary.
