• Aug. 23-Sept. 16: “The Toxic Avenger” — The off-Broadway rock musical, in its central Ohio premiere, will offer a satirical cautionary fable based on the cult film about a mutant freak who struggles with bullies and corrupt politicians to save New Jersey from pollution.

• Nov. 1-25: “La Cage aux Folles” — The production will be based on the 2010 revival version of the Broadway musical adapted by composer-lyricist Jerry Herman and author Harvey Fierstein from the film comedy about gay partners, running a drag nightclub in St. Tropez, whose world is jolted when a son brings his fiance and her bigoted parents to meet his father.

• Dec. 6-30: “Mamma Mia!” March 21-April 14, 2019: “Pippin” Broadway revival of the Stephen Schwartz coming-of-age musical about Charlemagne’s son in the medieval era.

• June 6-23, 2019: “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” — Author John Cameron Mitchell and composer-lyricist Stephen Trask’s rock musical, previously staged in 2013 by the troupe, follows the concert tour of a transgendered rocker who suffers from a botched operation.
