A Plain City man already serving a federal prison sentence received an additional 13-plus years after admitting to having child pornography in prison.

Jordan T. Allen, 31, was serving a sentence of 8 years in the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey after being convicted in 2011 of having child pornography when he and seven other inmates used contraband cellphones and micro SD cards, along with access to the internet, to possess and distribute child pornography. Allen and the other inmates were arrested in April 2017 and again in February 2018 after an FBI investigation.

Allen admitted to giving another inmate child pornography and possessing a micro SD card with 577 images and 340 videos of sexual activity involving minors.

A federal judge sentenced Allen to a prison term of 160 months, or more than 13 years, plus 10 years of supervised release.
