Ohio’s biggest cities have again made Glassdoor’s annual list of the best 25 cities for jobs.

Cincinnati ranked No. 4 this year, Cleveland ninth and Columbus 15th on the list released Wednesday morning. Ohio is the only state to have three cities make the list.

“All three cities are home to numerous universities, which help keep the city vibrant with skilled incoming talent and attract the attention of national employers to establish satellite offices in Ohio,” said Amanda Stansell, Glassdoor’s economic research analyst.

Last year’s list had Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland ranked seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively.

For the list, Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites, ranks the 50 biggest U.S. metro areas based on three factors — how easy it is to get a job, the cost of living and job satisfaction — to come up with its Glassdoor City Score. This is the fourth year for Glassdoor’s list.

As part of the report, Glassdoor includes each metro’s median pay for employees, median home value, job-satisfaction rating, number of current job openings and a selection of local in-demand jobs.

Columbus received a score of 4.1 out of 5.

The region has 54,711 jobs openings, a median base salary of $47,500 and a median home value of $182,200, according to Glassdoor. The job satisfaction rating was 3.3 out of 5.

The report lists the hot jobs for Columbus as database administrator, insurance agent and shift manager.

For the second year in a row, Pittsburgh leads the Glassdoor list. St. Louis is second and Indianapolis is third.

The top city for finding a job is Boston, and Memphis, Tennessee, is the most affordable city on the list.

San Francisco ranks as the top city for job satisfaction, and San Francisco and Seattle were ranked as the top tech hubs.
