Ten Ohio State players have accepted invitations to participate in the NFL scouting combine, which starts Feb. 26 in Indianapolis.

Defensive end Nick Bosa and quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. headline the list.

Bosa could be the first overall selection in the draft despite missing most of last season with a coremuscle injury that required surgery.

Haskins is considered the likely first quarterback to be drafted after he broke numerous school and Big Ten records in his only season as a starter.

Possible firstround pick Dre’mont Jones will be joined by receivers Parris Campbell, Terry Mclaurin and Johnnie Dixon. Offensive tackle Isaiah Prince and offensive lineman Michael Jordan also were invited, as were running back Mike Weber and cornerback Kendall Sheffield.

Ohio State will have the third-largest contingent of players. Only Clemson and Alabama, which met for the College Football Playoff title, have more with 11. Of Big Ten teams, Wisconsin will send eight players, Penn State seven and Michigan six.

The NFL invited 338 prospects.

Ohio State sent 11 players to the 2018 combine, eight in 2017 and 14 in 2016.

Another local player invited was Malone University receiver Ashton Dulin from Reynoldsburg. Malone, a Division II program in Canton, announced this week that it would eliminate football.
