Police: Vols George Jr. arrested for punching officer
Tennessee defensive back Kenneth George Jr. was arrested for allegedly punching a police officer on the side of the head.
The 22-year-old George is facing felony charges of battery on an officer and resisting an officer with violence and misdemeanor charges of resisting an officer without violence and disorderly conduct, according to police in Miami Beach, Florida. George was arrested just before 3:30 a.m. on Thursday. and a share of the lead with Sepp Straka in the Valspar Championship.
Of the 28 rounds in the 60s, only eight were in the afternoon. One of them belonged to Dustin Johnson, the No. 1 player in the world, who had not seen Innisbrook in nine years. He had a 69, with one birdie coming on the 578-yard 14th hole with a big drive and a 3-wood dead into the wind to 30 feet.
Choi shares lead at LPGA’S Founders Cup

Chen’s short program gives him lead at worlds
Defending champion Nathan Chen upstaged twotime Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu to lead the short program at the world championships in Saitama, Japan.
Chen’s program featured a triple axel, a quad lutz and a quad toeloop-triple toeloop combination for a seasonbest score of 107.40 points.
