Ten shows to watch or record:

• “Action” (8 p.m. Sunday, Showtime): This documentary series explores the legalization of sports gambling in the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to lift the ban on sports wagering. It follows professional gamblers, bookies and oddsmakers throughout the 2018 NFL season. • “Into the Badlands” (10:25 p.m. Sunday, AMC): As the martial-arts drama begins its final chapter, an imprisoned Bajie (Nick Frost) warns Sunny (Daniel Wu) that Pilgrim (Babou Ceesay) can’t be trusted. But Sunny, with his son’s life on the line, struggles with his decision to help Pilgrim unlock the Meridian Chamber. • “Jesus: His Life” (8 p.m. Monday, History): This series explores the story of Jesus Christ through the people who were closest to him. Each of its eight parts is told from the perspective of different biblical figures, including Joseph; John the Baptist; Mary, the mother of Jesus; Caiaphas; Judas Iscariot; Pontius Pilate; Mary Magdalene and Peter.

• “Miracle Workers” (10:30 p.m. Tuesday, TBS): Is it the end of the world as we know it? As this heavenly comedy wraps up its first season, Craig (Daniel Radcliffe) risks it all in a desperate attempt to save Earth and all of humanity. • “Million Dollar Mile”

(9 p.m. Wednesday, CBS): In this offbeat reality competition, contestants can win a million bucks by running a mile. Only trouble is they have to deal with a grueling obstacle course — and a group of athletes trying to keep them from the finish line. Tim Tebow hosts.

• “What We Do in the Shadows” (10 p.m. Wednesday, FX): Based on the 2014 cult feature film, this is a comedic, documentary-style look into the nightly lives of four vampires who hang out in Staten Island. And, yes, there are funny werewolves, too. • “Abby’s” (9:30 p.m. Thursday, NBC): Natalie Morales headlines this new comedy. She plays a fun-loving ex-marine who runs an unlicensed bar in the backyard of her San Diego home. Sounds like it’s one of those places where everybody knows your name.

• “Tacoma FD” (10:30 p.m. Thursday, trutv): This goofy new sitcom is about the crew of a firehouse located in one of America’s rainiest cities. With few blazes that need extinguishing, they keep themselves entertained with various forms of tomfoolery. • “The Highwaymen” (Friday, Netflix): Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson make a dynamic duo in this new film. It follows the untold real-life story of two former Texas Rangers who relied on their oldschool skills to track down notorious criminals Bonnie and Clyde. • “Tigerland” (9 p.m. Saturday, Discovery): Oscar-winning director Ross Kauffman’s documentary tells the stories of two remarkable men, born a generation and a world apart, who have dedicated their lives to preserving the lives of majestic tigers in the wild.
