WHERE I EAT
Q: How many times a week do you go out to eat?
A: Three to four times a week.
Q: What is your go-to place?
A: Tensuke Express (1155 Old Henderson Road) or Buckeye Pho (761 Bethel Road) are our go-to spots, usually — a good variety of choices and they are both just a short drive away.
Q: What's your favorite spot for a quick lunch?
A: Satori Ramen (Bar) and Momo Ghar in the North Market (59 Spruce St.) are good, walkable spots from where I work.
Q: Where do you go to mark a special occasion?
A: We enjoy going to Service Bar (1230 Courtland Ave.), Wolf’s Ridge (Brewing, 215 N. 4th St.) and Ambrose & Eve (716 S. High St.) for a nice night out to eat.
Q: And for pizza?
A: Hounddog’s (2657 N. High St.) for the greasyspoon side of things, and Harvest (Pizzeria, 2885 N. High St., 45 N. High St. and 2376 E. Main St.) or Paulie Gee's (1195 N. High St.) for a more Neapolitan style pizza. Both are delicious.
Q: What is your favorite spot in town for Latin food?
A: Los Agavez (Taqueria, 3166 N. High St.) food truck in Clintonville; everything on the menu is great.
Q: And for Asian?
A: I absolutely love Jiu Thai (Asian Cafe, 787 Bethel Road); anything with the hand-pulled noodles in it are a must.
Q: What is your neighborhood's best spot?
A: Kirin Noodle (Bar) inside of Chatime (4227 N. High St.) has delicious Chinese cuisine. Get some pan-fried pork buns and a bowl of spicy beef noodle soup along with your bubble tea of choice.
Q: Are there any hidden gems that more people should know about?
A: Xi Xia (Western Chinese Cuisine, 1140 Kenny Centre Mall) is another place that has really good noodle soups.
