Apple’s profit, revenue beat analysts’ forecasts

Apple is still reaping huge profits from the iphone while mining more moneymakin­g opportunit­ies from the growing popularity of its smartwatch, digital services and wireless earbuds.

Apple’s profit and revenue in the OctoberDec­ember period topped analysts’ projection­s. The company’s fortunes had appeared to be sliding just a year ago amid declining sales of the iphone, its marquee product for the past decade.

Lucky’s Market to keep local store open during bankruptcy

Lucky’s Market announced a plan Monday to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Lucky’s stores in Clintonvil­le and Cleveland are among seven that will remain open. The grocer’s 32 other stores, including in Florida and Colorado, will shutter as the company restructur­es.

Kroger announced a plan in December to pull its investment in the company.

Lucky’s plans to hand over control of five leased stores to Aldi’s and sell an additional store.

Dosch becomes director of Dispatch Printing Company

The Dispatch Printing Company has elected Tamara J. Dosch as a director on the company’s board.

Dosch is vice president and chief financial officer of The Dispatch Printing Company and CFO and treasurer of Capitol Square Ltd., a wholly owned affiliate of The Dispatch Printing Company that handles the company’s commercial real estate developmen­t and investment activities.

She joined The Dispatch Printing Company in 1996 and has served in roles such as controller and CFO of Capitol Square and corporate controller of both the Dispatch Broadcast Group and The Dispatch Printing Company, which sold The Dispatch to Gatehouse Media in 2015. Gatehouse acquired Gannett in November.

Park National unifies community-bank brands

Newark-based Park National Bank is rebranding its 12 community banking divisions under the Park name this year.

The banks have operated under different names as divisions of Park while sharing administra­tive, operationa­l and technologi­cal resources.

The bank said the rebranding will not affect accounts or local banking teams.

Massachuse­tts fines Chipotle $1.3M in child-labor case

Chipotle was hit with a $1.3 million fine over more than 13,000 childlabor violations at its Massachuse­tts restaurant­s, the state’s attorney general announced Monday.

Attorney General Maura Healey ordered the largest child-labor penalty ever issued by the state after finding an estimated 13,253 violations in the Mexican restaurant chain’s more than 50 locations in Massachuse­tts.

The fine detailed that Chipotle had employees under the age of 18 working past midnight and more than 48 hours a week.
