Man, toddler found dead by Akron road

Grieving family members lit candles Monday under the shade of an oak branch in the 400 block of Crouse

Street in Akron, where neighbors had discovered the lifeless body of 2-yearold Azeria Tucker about 10 a.m. Sunday.

Yellow markings from the police investigation indicated tire tracks stretching toward the back of a gravel driveway between two residential buildings. They led to where the body of Azeria’s father, Horace Lee, was recovered a few yards away from his daughter’s.

Neither father nor daughter lived on the street. Their loved ones are struggling to make sense of how they ended up there and who is responsible for the senseless killings.

Akron police believe they were intentionally struck by a vehicle, leading to their deaths. The case is now being investigated as a homicide.

Ohio trucker charged in crash killing 4 kids

A semitrailer was going 72 mph when it crashed into a car slowing for an Indiana highway construction zone, killing four young siblings, authorities said.

A state trooper who evaluated Withrow determined he was under the influence of cannabis and a strong central nervous system stimulant, making him unable to safely drive, according to charging documents.

The car was pushed into another semitrailer and burst into flames. A passerby was able to pull the car’s driver, Aaron Bruce, 34, of Kansas City, Missouri, from the vehicle and he was taken to an Indianapolis hospital with severe injuries.

Those killed in the crash were identified as Anesa Noel Acosta, 15; Quintin Michael Mcgowan, 13; Brekkin Riley Bruce, 8; and Trentin Beau Bruce, 6. Aaron Bruce is the father of the two younger children and stepfather of the two others, state police spokesman Sgt. John Bowling said.
