HEBRON – Wonderlight Productions is returning to Central Ohio in 2020 to present one of the biggest Christmas light displays in the state.

“Christmas in Ohio” will run from Nov. 13 to Jan. 3 at National Trail Raceway in Hebron. Light shows will start at dusk each night and conclude at 10 p.m.

“Everyone really had positive feedback and we could tell it was something family’s loved to come out and do,” said Grace Glover, of Wonderlight Productions. “We saw several familiar faces throughout the season. We got letters in the mail, and throughout the summer, we received things asking if we were coming back. It’s exciting for that to come throughout the year because we know they’re excited for when we get here.” While many events have been postponed or canceled throughout the year, Glover said the light display is one that didn’t need many changes to keep visitors safe from COVID-19. In fact, the only change visitors will see, aside from new light displays, will be a plexiglass pane over the ticket booth to separate workers from visitors passing through.

National Trail Raceway’s Director of Operations, Jason Murray, said the event can serve as a bright spot for many families who have been cooped-up at home during the pandemic.

“It’s a great event for the community and to give to the people of Central Ohio something positive to look at for this winter, especially with everything that’s been going on this year,” Murray said. “With it being a drive-thru light show, it works out great.” Ticket prices will remain the same from the 2019 season - individual tickets are $7, and car loads up to seven people are $30, with prices increasing for vehicles over eight passengers. Children ages three years old and under are free. This year, tickets can be purchased online as well as at the gate. Glover said the online option will give visitors a contactless method of payment.

Glover encourages families to visit the display between Sunday and Thursday evenings to avoid large crowds. Returning visitors will also notice new traffic patterns and signs to help ease congestion. Proceeds from this year’s event will go towards supporting various local charities.
