Charlsie Mae Nash, age 90, passed away peacefully on January, 17, 2021 in Pickeringt­on, Ohio. She was born on August 16, 1930 in Asheville, NC. Charlsie was preceded in death by her mother Rosie Davis Nash, father Ernest Nash, brothers Lloyd and Earl Nash, sisters Evelyn Yates and Ernestine Monk, Aunt Lottie Mae Saunders, and nephew Ernest Yates. Charlsie is survived by her daughters, Shirley Payne, Renee Engelbach, and Felicia Nash; niece, Toyia Yates; nephew, Kenneth Yates; grandson, Christophe­r Miller; and many nephews, nieces, grandchild­ren, and great grandchild­ren, who she dearly loved. Charlsie loved her family, her cats, singing gospel, Christmas songs, and the holidays. She made candy apples, caramel apples, and bags of treats for the neighborho­od kids for Halloween. She retired as a domestic aide from Pi Beta Phi sorority house on the OSU campus. She loved those “girls.” Charlsie loved to laugh and her smile could light up a room. She hated spinach and would declare she was not Popeye if offered. A Memorial Service will be held on January 29, 2021 at SCHOEDINGE­R
