Mary Jane Trapp Pallay, age 94, passed away peacefully and gracefully Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at her residence. Born in Gahanna, Ohio, on a beautiful farm, she continued to cherish her homestead origins throughout her life. Obtained her real estate license at a young age, and worked passionate­ly at Karlsberge­r & Associates Architects, Inc. for decades. Along with her strong work ethic and career, she devoted much of her free time to the Bexley Cancer Center Thrift Shop. Mary Jane loved cooking, travel, her dogs and collecting fine antiques. She enjoyed sharing her love of these hobbies with family often. Her greatest joy was giving of her time, especially to her grandchild­ren. Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Andrew James, and daughter Rachael Anne. Survived by children, Claudia (Mike) Gordon, Amy and Louis; grandchild­ren, Katie (Billy) Gazley, Molly (Cosmo) Berardinel­li, Michael (Rachael), Adam (Carolyn) and Jake Gordon, Mary Katherine and Jeffrey Schloss; 7 great grandchild­ren; brother-in-law, Robert Klamfoth; nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 11am at St. Catharine Church, 500 S. Gould Rd., where the family will receive friends after 10am. COVID protocol will require masks and social distancing.
