The ongoing Spring Dispatch Home & Garden show is highlighting gardens featuring the most popular pandemic travel destination of all — your own backyard.

Six unique gardens offer up the fragrance of spring and celebrate the best of outdoor living amid captivating backyard getaways. Guests will see the exemplary work of central Ohio landscape designers and get ideas about how their own yards could be transformed.

Today’s featured garden is It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere Garden by Landscape Design Solutions.

Work and home are often one and the same in the world of COVID-19, and the It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere Garden is designed to combine the necessities of a workspace with the amenities of a home.

“This is our spin on turning your backyard into your very own outdoor home office,” said Jacob Basnett, owner and managing partner of Landscape Design Solutions.

This garden provides areas to conduct business calls, take a break for lunch, and retire whenever you call it a day, Basnett said.

“We’re all tired of being cooped up all day, so why not bring the Zoom meeting outside to your cozy patio space?” he said.

A rustic, rough-cedar pavilion provides multiple places to open up a laptop and dial into work, he said. The pavilion also includes a sitting area with a television and fireplace.

Whether it has been a particularly

frustrating or productive day, you can clock out a little early and stroll to the outdoor bar at the pavilion. “Pour yourself a glass of your favorite beverage to close out the workday. After all, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere,” Basnett said.

Events take place inside the Bricker Building at the Ohio Expo Center through Sunday.

Here’s how to work it:

A X Y D L BA A X R is L O N G F E L L O W Directions: One letter stands for another. In this sample, A is used for the three L’s, X for the two O’s, etc. Single letters, apostrophes, the length and formation of the words are all hints. Each day the code letters are different.

Directions: Try to beat today’s challenge time. Fill in each square with a number from 1-9. Horizontal squares should add up to totals on right. Vertical squares should add to totals on bottom. Diagonal squares through center should add to total in upper and lower right.
