Philip H. Schlaegel, Jr., 90, Columbus, Ohio died March 15th in Columbus, born in Zanesville to Philip H. and Flora Schlaegel, Sr. Married Nancy Krause on October 17, 1954 in Zanesville, OH. Was Administrative

Manager for Standard Oil Company, 36 years and President of Great Lakes Christian College, 4 years. He was a faithful Christian servant, founding member of Worthington Christian Church, longtime elder and adult Sunday School teacher. Served in the US Army, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) 1951-53. Survived by his spouse, Nancy; children, Philip (Melinda) Schlaegel, Paul (Jill) Schlaegel, David (Wendy) Schlaegel, Karen (Dale) Mullen, Thomas (Patti) Schlaegel, Linda (Christopher) Mcclellan, Lisa (Michael) Christen, and Timothy (Melissa) Schlaegel; 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Cecil Edward (Patricia) Schlaegel. Preceded in death by his brother Bryce Schlaegel. Visitation will be March 19, 10Am-12noon at Worthington Christian Church, 8145, N. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43235, with a memorial service at 12noon. Burial to follow at 2pm, Zanesville Memorial Park, 1475 Military Rd., Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
