- Megan Henry

Let's rock, central Ohio — music festivals are starting to make a comeback in 2021. Several local music festivals are ready to make some noise this year after taking a hiatus in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lost Lands Music Festival, a threeday dinosaur-themed music festival, is scheduled for Sept. 24-26 at Legend Valley in Thornville. The lineup hasn't been announced yet.

Tickets went on sale Thursday and are selling out quick. The exact number of tickets already sold was not immediately available Friday afternoon.

The box office had already run out of VIP Admission and Ultimate VIP Admission tickets, according to a tweet from festival organizers. Some general admissions tickets were still available early Friday afternoon along with tickets for early entry to festival grounds on Sept. 22 and 23.

Inkcarceration Festival, a music and tattoo festival in Mansfield, is scheduled for Sept. 10-12 at the Ohio State Reformatory that was used as the setting for the film "The Shawshank Redemption." Tickets aren't on sale yet and the lineup will be announced in April.

The annual Country Fest in northeast Ohio is a go for June 16-19 and July 22-24 at Clay's Park Resort in North Lawrence. Tickets for the June festival

went on sale in September and appear to have already sold out, but tickets are still on sale for the July festival.

Artists for the June festival include Chris Janson, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and Sam Hunt. The July festival includes Jake Owen, Chris Young and Dierks Bentley.

Still, some music festivals are still not happening this year because of COVID-19. The Nelsonville Music Festival recently canceled their June festival for the second year in a row.

The Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival in Columbus is also not happening in 2021. Festival organizer Danny Wimmer Presents announced it hoped to bring the rock festival back again next year. The Jazz & Ribs Festival in Columbus has also been canceled. The event will take place July 22-24, 2022. mhenry@dispatch.com @megankhenry
