Morgan, Sr., Lonnie E.

1949 - 2021

Lonnie E. Morgan, Sr., age 71, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 22, 2021. He was born in Columbus, OH on November 16, 1949 to the late Roy G. Morgan and Avenelle (Long) Morgan. Lonnie was a graduate of Central High

School. He was drafted by the U.S Army on April 1, 1970 and proudly served during the Vietnam Era until December 1, 1971. He was a long-time employee of Anheuser-busch and retired after 35 years of dedicated service. In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by his brother Michael Morgan, Sr., sisters-in-law Opal Byrd and Cynthia Knight, brother-in-law Donald E. Byrd, Jr. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 48 years, Carolyn (Byrd) Morgan; children, Kenneth (Chana) Morgan, Lonnie (Nicole) Morgan, Jr., Benjamin (Stacey) Morgan, Brian (Renee) Morgan and Christina (Jahi) Edwards; brother, Richard (Windy)

Morgan; sister, Delores (Vincent) Austin; sister-inlaw, Judy Cooper; brotherin-law, Timothy (Kim) Byrd; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Monday, March 29 at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where a private family service will be held on Tuesday, March 30. Masks are required and attendance will be monitored to maintain social distancing requirements. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
