Lillian Grace Kowis died peacefully at Tuscany Gardens on March 23, 2021, in Pataskala, Ohio at the age of 84. Born in Akron, Ohio, on September 7, 1936, she was the daughter of Julius Schwindt and Elizabeth (Bishoff) Schwindt. Lillian is a

graduate of Garfield High in

Akron and was a Beta Phi

and competed in the figure skating regional qualifier

for the 1951 Pan American

Games. She was a devout member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church and was an

Eucharisti­c Minister of Holy

Communion. She was a devoted wife, and a wonderful

mother to her five chil

dren. Lillian was a military spouse and enjoyed making oriental dolls which she learned to do at Tachikawa Air Force Base, Japan. She enjoyed crafts and arts as well as doll collecting. She worked in various administra­tive and secretaria­l positions to include; Anchor

Hocking Glass, Emhart,

Arthritis Foundation in San Diego, Ohio State

Bank, and Huntington

Bank. Lillian is survived by her sons, Kavin (Marianne), Kenneth (Terri), and Keenan (Caroline) Kowis; her eight grandchild­ren and three great grandchild­ren; She is preceded in death by her husband George, her son Keith, daughter Elizabeth and sister Betty Subasa. Family will receive friends 4-7pm Sunday at
