Sieg, Sally
1950 - 2021
Sally Harrington Sieg was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 11, 1950 and passed away peacefully at her home on April 6, 2021. As a young teenager Sally danced with the world-renowned Bolshoi Ballet. She was accepted after competing with girls from
five states and performed with them at the Cleveland
Public Auditorium. Sally attended Bay High School in Bay Village Ohio, where she was a Cheerleader and
a beloved member of the
student body. She attended
Ohio University and later
worked as a legal secretary and in management in both the retail and the hospitality industries. Sally was a
devout Christian, and her
strong Faith was a part of her daily life. No matter the circumstances, Sally had a smile that lit up the room
and a heart full of love but
most important she adored her family more than life itself. In 1980 Sally met Ken Crockett who was the
love of her life. Sally and Ken spent nearly every
waking minute together
and were devoted life partners for the next 41 years. Sally’s Father Richard Sieg was part of General Eisenhower’s staff during WWII. Sally’s Mother was a
devoted homemaker, and
member of the Harrington family which owned the Harrington Jewelry Company in Columbus, Ohio. Sally is preceded in death by her father Richard Sieg,
her step-father Tom Davis,
her mother Ann Harrington
Davis, her aunt Betty Emig,
her aunt Helen Sieg and her cousin Betty Ann (Rex)
Elliott. Sally is survived by
her life partner, Ken Crockett; her step-son, Robin (Wendy); and step-granddaughter, Amie Crockett; her cousins, Nancy (Bruce) Jones and Gretchen (Byron) Hull; her “nieces” and “nephews”, Rex (Saman
tha) Elliott, David (Lisa)
Elliott, Preston (Jill) Elliott, Frank Vokoun, Holly (Brad) Ellenberger and Preston Jones; and numerous other
relatives both past and
present. A Memorial Ser
vice will be held on Monday
April 12, 2021 at 4PM at
EVANS FUNERAL HOME,
4171 Livingston Avenue,
Columbus, Ohio 43227, (614)-237-2553. The family
will also receive friends at Evans Funeral Home one hour before the service.
