A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Jo
Ann F. Reindl, 87, of Grove
City will be held at St.
Francis de Sales Catholic
Church, Newark, 11 A.M.,
Tuesday, April 13, 2021, with Fr. David Sizemore as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic
Cemetery, Newark. Jo Ann, a 1951 graduate of Graettinger
H.S. (Graettinger,
Iowa) and a 1953 graduate of Iowa State Teachers
College, died at Violet
Springs Health Campus,
Pickerington on Thursday,
April 8, 2021. She was born in Graettinger on
December 21, 1933, to the late Francis Leo and Verna
Jannet (Schubbe) Flannegan.
Jo Ann was a dedicated military wife, moving from assignment to assignment with her family and dear husband. She was a lover of children and continued to teach as a substitute for
Blessed Sacrament School in Newark. Jo Ann was also a longtime member of St. Leonard Church in
Heath where she was a first grade CCD instructor, avid bingo volunteer, and office worker, typing and printing the weekly bulletin for many years. Later, she was a member of St.
Francis de Sales and, most recently, of Our Lady of
Perpetual Help in Grove
City. Jo Ann also served her community as a volunteer at the local nursing homes.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Jonathan
L. Reindl (Imelda Bong) of San Diego, CA, Jay A.
Reindl (Roz L. Simpson) of Oxford, NC, Jeffrey L.
Reindl (Barbara G. Mcgill) of Grove City, Joseph H.
Reindl (Yumi Matsuoka) of
Sterling, CT, and son-in-law
Peter G. Lambeck of Iron
Station, NC; seven grandchildren, Jennifer B. Reindl,
Kimberly A. Reindl, Zachary
L. Reindl, Lindsay J. Reindl,
Jacob L. Lambeck, Lucas
G. Lambeck, and Emma
J. Lambeck; sister, Donna
Jean Day of Hoover, AL; many nieces and nephews; and several close friends.
In addition to her parents,
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald
L. Reindl, and daughter,
Jonette D. (Reindl) Lambeck.
