Patricia Lou Sammons, 80, of Pataskala, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021. She was born December 31, 1940, in New Camp, Kentucky; daughter of Arunia and Maggie Lovell. Pat met Glen, the love of her life for 62 years, in Williamson, West Virginia, at 16 years old and knew he was “the one.” Their journey brought them to Illinois and then Ohio, where they lived for 60+ years. She was best known for her devotion to family and God?living a true Christian life. Pat had fierce loyalty for her family and unconditional love for her six grandchildren and two-great- grandchildren. She also loved holidays and family get-togethers and felt it was a reason to celebrate life. Her sense of humor and smile radiated in her beautiful blue eyes and both were inherited by her two sons. A school cook for 25 years, she earned the admiration of hundreds of kids that she served with a smile, and for those with special needs or tough circumstances, there was always a little extra helping. This same kindness and dedication also gained her the love and respect of many life-long friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Arunia and Maggie Lovell, brother Donald and brother-in-law Joe Chapman. She is survived by her husband, Glen Sammons of Pataskala; her son, Dave (Quinn) Sammons of Baltimore; her son, Scott (Kim) Sammons of Pataskala; sister, Mitzie Chapman of

Cortland; her brother, Mickey (Annette) Lovell of Lockport, IL; and grandchildren, Zach (Alisan), Clay, Carson, Ryan, Addie, Tanner; and great-grandchildren, Millie, and Judson; along with dozens of nieces, nephews, and much more family and friends. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062.
