Naomi Jean Marvin, 82 years of age, passed away on April 5, 2021. Jean, as she was known to her family and friends, was preceded in death by her parents Palmer and Dorothy Romire, her husband of 44 years Robert Marvin, in-laws Robert and Mae Marvin, Carol Meeks, Donna (Phil) Mahoney, David Marvin, and George Talbott.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Paula (Rupert) Prince; grandchildren, Sophia Prince, and Oliver Prince; sisters, Barbara Fulks Talbott, Bethany (Artie) Stier, Melinda Romire; nephew, Adam Stier; and long time family friend, Rose Coleman. Jean was a wonderful cook and opened her home to anyone who loved good food or needed a place to stay. She enjoyed traveling and was especially fond of Canada and Oregon. Jean was an avid Euchre, Dominoes, and Yahtzee player, and almost always walked away the winner. Jean was a dyed-in-the-wool Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She worked in administration at OSU Hospital for 31 years and she truly bled Scarlet and Gray. Her retirement from OSU, at 50 years of age, lasted only 3 months, after which she worked for Dr. Muhammad Nasim Akhtar with whom she became close friends. Her quick wit, huge smile, and wry sense of humor will be missed by all whose lives she touched. She fought cancer valiantly and without complaint. She will be remembered for her courage and determination. Friends may call 12-1pm Saturday, May 15, 2021, at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, where a service will follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers,

donations may be made to hospice or cancer services at mountcarmelhealth. com/mount-carmel-foundation. A Celebration of Life to follow at Jean’s residence at 1129 Hepplewhite Street, Westerville, Ohio.
