Crocker, Harold
Dr. Harold (Hal) Crocker, 83, of Galena, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on
August 20, 1937 in Elyria,
Ohio to the late Orra R. and
Lorena (Zacharias) Crocker.
He was a 1961 graduate of The Ohio State University
College of Veterinary
Medicine, and following his graduation, he taught and participated in heart research at the University and went on to form the
Consolidated Biomedical
Laboratory, now known as
Lab Corp. He then opened a small animal practice (Northland Veterinary Clinic)
in Columbus, which he continued until retirement.
Hal was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed hunting and boating with his children and grandchildren. Hal loved sharing the outdoors time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving is his wife, Joyce Crocker,
whom he married on
August 17, 1957; daughter,
Kimberly (Daniel) Bradford of Sunbury; five grandchildren, Heather (Matt)
Ross, Brian (Jodi) Bradford,
Curt (Vanessa) Bradford,
Rachel (Jared) Jacobus and Hannah Drumm; and 17 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents that had preceded him in death was his son Jeff D.
Crocker and five brothers
Art, Don, Ken, Nelson and
