Victor H. Ramirez, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 2, 1923 to Frank A. and Vera (Noreck) Ramirez. He was a WWII Army Combat Medic with the 86th Blackhawk Division. Victor met his beloved wife, Miriam, of 70 years at Henry Ford Hospital’s Bowling League. They were married October 1, 1949 and moved to Columbus, Ohio where he continued his career serving others as a Physical Therapist. Victor was a founding member of St. Gabriel Parish where he sang in the choir. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Matthias Parish since 1959. Victor truly was a man of faith who volunteere­d for many parish activities and was an usher for Mass until he was 95 years old. Victor was a Scout Leader of Troop 310 for many years. He often shared how much he loved his family, friends and neighbors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Miriam, infant son Victor H. Jr. and grandson Landon. He is survived by six children, Victor C. (Laura), Frank (Jan), Jean (Tom) Montrie, Donald (Mel), Teresa, John (Jennifer); 13 grandchild­ren; 16 great grandchild­ren; brother-in-law, Donald A. (Kris) Schlums; and cousin, Delphine Marciniak. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-7pm at SCHOEDINGE­R NORTH, 5554 Karl Road. Prayers will be recited at 6:30pm that evening. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1582 Ferris Road, Columbus. Father Anthony Davis, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Resurrecti­on Cemetery. Guests are respectful­ly asked to wear masks and attendance will be monitored to ensure safety for everyone attending.
